Yeah, OK I am a bit biased because I know Bruce George, the co-author, but this is a great anthology. Good luck finding anyone else with the street cred to pull this book off. The authentic voices of gang members and their associates speak clearly

You are able to find appeal with even the seediest characters in the story. A soulless man and a souleating girl. Kept me on the edge of my seat for the whole book (finished reading it at 2 am). Keeping everyone calm and collected is not always that easy especially when trying to figure out something that seems to be headed his way. Even though she has a fine estate on the Cornish coast called Nasrannah, Miranda cannot bring herself to return to the place where such wonderful memories of when her parents were alive and she was not crippled. Most times, not getting to that point is always a result arising from the customers’ end. I did not find the book personally to be very helpful because my daughter has the maturity of a 25 year old and will laugh at some of the most of the tricks and tips described in this book. It's entertaining enough, but I think the author is still trying to figure out what works within the short story form and what doesn't. It is that sense of regained hope and kindness that fuses the hard parts of this narrative into something special, something that extends beyond these four friends to their wives and girlfriends, their children, to their parents, to us. A few of their escapades and escapes seem a bit far-fetched, but enjoyable to read. Betty's first book, Sister Peters in Amsterdam,was published in 1969, and she eventually completed 134 books.
